Heathrow Precision Invests in 5-Axis

Heathrow Precision Invests in New 5-Axis CNC Centre to Expand Complex Machining Capability

We’re pleased to announce the recent installation of a new state-of-the-art 5-Axis Hurco CNC machining centre, further strengthening our ability to handle complex multi-surface components for aerospace, defence and high-performance engineering applications.

The new machine expands our in-house capacity for tight-tolerance machining, enabling faster turnaround on intricate parts that demand multiple operations in a single setup. This investment reflects our ongoing commitment to staying at the forefront of precision engineering technology, ensuring our customers benefit from improved lead times, enhanced repeatability and cost-effective production.

Engineering Director, Neale Whittall, commented:

“Adding another 5-axis capability demonstrates our promise to invest where it adds real value for our clients. The machine’s flexibility and speed will allow us to tackle even more complex geometries with absolute confidence in quality.”

The new machine is already in operation, supporting a mix of prototype and repeat production work for key aerospace tooling and specialist defence contracts.
